So strange, Sydney Pollack, who played Ziegler in Eyes Wide Shut, has died just a day or so after Nate and I watched the movie. This is not the first occasion of it happening.

We watched 2001: A Space Odyssey, and it happened that Arthur Clarke died a few days later.

Nothing has happened with The Shining, Dr. Strangelove, or Lolita, however. So, it's just a coincidence.
